Does the Forto power meter fit my bike?
Forto power meters are suitable for Shimano groupsets R8000, R8100 and R7000, R7100.
Some bicycle manufacturers have limited clearance between the frame and the crank, which can make using a Forto power meter difficult.
Test whether your bike is suitable:
Place a AAA battery between the frame and the crank, approximately 5 to 10 cm from the center of the bottom bracket.
If the battery fits, the Forto power meter will fit too.
Does the power meter work with my bike computer?
Forto power meters are compatible with bike computers that use ANT+ or Bluetooth. This means that they can be easily paired with most bike computers and sports watches.
Why do I need to calibrate my power meter?
Regular calibration ensures the most accurate measurement data. During this process the power meter determines the zero point.

How to calibrate the power meter:
- Place the crank vertically downwards.
- Connect via your bike computer or via Bluetooth on your phone.
- Press "calibrate".
- Wait a few seconds.
We recommend calibrating your power meter before every ride for the most accurate data.
How accurate is the Forto power meter?
The Forto power meter has been extensively tested and each unit is individually calibrated.
The power meter features active temperature compensation, which means it automatically takes into account temperature changes during your ride.
How can I connect?
The Forto power meter supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth.
Steps:
- Make sure the battery has sufficient charge.
- Turn the crank slightly counterclockwise to "wake up" the power meter.
- The power meter is now visible to your bike computer or smartphone.
Problem with connection?
Remove and reinsert the battery and put your device into search mode to find new ANT+ or Bluetooth connections.
Can I change the battery?
Yes, the Forto power meter works on a CR2032 button cell battery. This battery has a lifespan of approximately 250 hours and is easily available in stores or online.
To replace the battery, turn the battery cover counterclockwise to open it. Then insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive side facing up. Then close the cover properly by turning it clockwise. Make sure the cover is closed properly to prevent water damage.
